Mr. H presented with severely damaged teeth with the chief complaint being” I would like to have teeth so I can chew food.”

Trying to find a cost-effective way for the patient, we did the design and transferred it to the patient’s mouth so Mr. H can visualize the future result. He approved the plan and selected the upper fixed bridges and lower removable dentures with the option to add dental implants in the future to upgrade the lower denture.

We used modified vertical preparation to protect the remaining tooth structure and maintain gingival health. The artistic dental technician customized lab work.

Teeth were tried in. Fitting (to ensure long-term successful outcome), Contact ( to prevent food from getting stuck), Occlusion ( how to bite efficiently and correctly), Esthetics, Phonetics ( speech) are verified. After Mr. H approved it, the final restoration was permanently cemented, followed by several follow up and maintenance appointments.

Your trust and happiness are our top priorities.

Maintenance and home care are essential to ensure the long-term success of Fixed Dental Prosthesis (dental bridge).

In this video, Dr. Qing, a Prosthodontist practicing in the Doylestown PA area, has demonstrated the technique to clean underneath the bridge.

Recommended product

  • GUM easy thread floss ( to be used by itself)
  • Floss threader (pretty much any brand) together with fluffy regular floss like ( LISTERINE Woven floss) or Superfloss ( OralB)
  • OralB Superfloss is traditionally recommended in the textbook; however, Dr. Qing has found that it is too soft on the end to go into tight space by itself, but if the area is big, it is a good option.
